In October, my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She has since had three rounds of chemotherapy. She will have surgery at the end of January with three more rounds of chemotherapy after that. She has a very positive outlook and continues to help and serve others in her mobile home community during her "good" weeks between chemotherapy sessions. She is also an active member of several "Red Hat Society" groups and participates in many social events. Thankfully, I am able to use Family Medical Leave to go to San Diego to help out during these difficult times.
